Uttam bhai, thanks for your kind words. Subir Sen made a big debut through "Main rangeela pyaar ka raahi" (AFAIR) and got some nice songs. Unfortunately could not get big success!

I am not sure as to which song Dwijen Mukherjee made debut with, but I guess he too got some nice songs. And then faded away.

Let us not forget Hemantda, a great legendary singer , was also a great and extremley talented composer. Hemantda is considered as the best singer of Rabindra Sangeet too.

So in a nutshell, it would have been a tall order for any singer to match Hemantda. Again nothing against any one, but thats the truth. Suman ji has sung some extremely melodious and sweet songs in Hindi (as well as in Marathi). Unfortunately being always compared to the numero uno singer does not help in any ways.
