This is also a remnant of the former desiboard, started by a wonderful user named bm99 with contributions from other members, feel free to add on. The idea was

to make a list of Punjabi songs featured in Hindi movies. Meaning that the songs either have a similar melody to traditional Punjabi songs, have Punjabi boliyaan, etc.

........or even have a line or two of Punjabi in them.

Can't remember any punjabi-type song composed by Madan Mohan Sahab, it may be because of he was born & brought up in Iraq.

Madan Mohan had them when the situation required them, ex Heer Ranjha - Nache Ang Ve and the Heer, also Dupatta Mera Malmal Ka from Adalat and there was an Asha song in Chalbaaz that had the flavor. But for the most part, less then most MDs I would say. I keep discovering new Sonik - Omi ones all the time which is a pleasant surprise

Thanks for posting more song titles, I will compare them to the list above and add the ones that are not there already when I have more time. I have lots that are tagged in my collection that are not yet on that list either, hope to update it sometime.
