WE on yahoo grps and RMIM etc follow a rule.......when you write something in public forms....think before wat you write. this is going to remain on NET for years............so justify wat you write.or simply keep quite !

So no matter how much time later content is found. it has to be corrected or removed and poster is OPEN to explanation.

Hamaraforums has it is own culture, method and rules. Do not expect the rules of other boards to be enforced here or vice versa.

WHY I DIDNT REPORTED:-

Firstly this time the words were better then last case so..they would have skipped punishment. and secondly

Punishment is decided and enforced by Admin not members.

I was not sure tht if they will be warned or not ( As happened in this case )
I wanted all fans to know wat sort of views this member has and interact with them accordingly !

Are you the self-appointed Admin/Moderator here? There are many threads opened where 'not-like-this member' indirectly critcise the performing artistes. Read thread/poll at this link. http://www.hamaraforums.com/index.php?show...mp;#entry474181. All the members involved there are indirectly attacking the current lyricists and artistes. But due to it is subtle nature this thread is passed off as a normal thread and the members involved have been exempted from facing punitive action.

Any action taken towards a member is clearly posted on the thread where the punishable act was committed or in the notification section with the reason for the action. If you are still not aware of it then do a search and read all the threads where such posts have been clearly posted by the admin.

These are the SAME people who who had earlier called sonu nigam D class singer.AND even at that TIME they ESCAPED punishment.

The Admin is here to take care of such issues. All members are first warned before any kind of punishment is awarded to them. There have been cases where punishment has been awarded without warning - citing an example of recent past (in case you are not aware of it) - Member Flex lost his posting rights for his derogatory remarks towards Musician Bappi Lahiri and towards member Yob.

AND WONDER WHY IAM THE ONLY PERSON TO BE NAMED while others were Not named and their POSTS were also removed

Your reaction stirs others members to respond as in the case of this thread. If you had reported this thread you would not have found post #35 (now removed from public view) added. Your name was posted because the instruction was directed to you not to rest of the members. If there were two members involved like you were, then a general post would have been made. You were NOT asked for an explanation, BUT you were instructed to use the REPORT LINK. There are many members here, who wisely use the report button without getting involved and have stopped many such untoward brawls from happening. This thread was reported by a senior member else the thread would not have been brought to the Admin's notice.

All posts were removed that was related to this as after a few months someone else might trigger a fight over x days old posts. Do you want that to happen?

The idea behind removing posts of controversy from public view is to keep the board clean. Earlier this practice was not followed. This does not mean the member/s has not been punished or warned. For such action taken - the Admin's post on the thread where the act was reported or in the notification section is open to be viewed by all.

The more such comments are ignored more such rifts these members will create.

I got few suggestion :

1) Can we maintain a log of such comments or such members. ??

You suggestions does not solve anything.

2) or can a log be maintinaed for member whose posts are reported for degrading a HFM artists so tht whole board knows him????

By the board members getting aware of such derogatory statements, would it stop such act? They can avoid or ignore such comments and report the post.

1. In this instance, there was NO derogatory word used towards any artiste here.

2. Yes, comparison was made which could lead to unwanted brawls, hence the members here in discussion - Sajjad, Anwar Fan, and Yaar Mere were instructed to refrain from such act. Mentioning the names does not change anything. A general statement was made to All members irrespective of who it is not to make posts comparing artistes that can lead to unwanted fights.

3. YOU ARE HEREBY ADVISED AND INSTRUCTED to use the REPORT link as it makes the task easier to reprimand or put members under check from such activity.

The Admin is here to stop people from turning uncivil and passing comments that can hurt the sentiment of other music lovers. So you are recommended to make an effort by clicking that link called - REPORT.
