Hi All
I was waiting for a response from Vivek, who has taken great efforts in putting this list in spreadsheet format. Since I did not hear from him, I copied the data from his online sheet into an Excel workbook and made required formatting changes. I am enclosing the Excel sheet in this post. Now this file has 545 songs. I will keep checking my collection and upload songs which are missing from this list. Then I will keep updating this list, so that we can come up a list of as many songs of Geeta ji as possible. Any help in this regard will be most appreciated. I know there are many fans of Geeta ji on HF..I am sure they will come forward to help in compiling this list. Thanks and Best Regards Parag Please visit www.geetadutt.com

friends,
i'm sure chaps like cinemaniac know this stuff easy but just a few excel tips... parag - you have chosen an excellent way to type the song information. you using "-" as a separator does this: excel has a "text to columns" feature so you tell it to use "-" as a symbol to break into columns. now movie, title, artist, year etc can be easily broken down into separate columns. then - don't bother to manually alphabetize. excel will automatically do that for you with the sort feature. you can sort by title, album, etc. all someone has to do is copy & paste this information into excel, use text to columns feature, sort, and 2 minutes (no more) they've got an organized list. then i use a special program to take excel cells as tags to automatically tag my mp3s rather than me tediously & manually do it. lovely. the more automated - the better. |
