Another rare album of the 40's from the khazana of Mahesh !

Thanks a lot for sharing these gems.

CR (Ramchandra Chitalakar) was one the most successful music director from Maharashtra in Hindi Film industry. I have read an incident which is during the time when songs of Anarkali (?) were a huge hit. CR was discussing with a friend (Actor Gajanan Jahagirdar), and he said see how these south Indian MD's like C Ramchandra are making a great name, not knowing that he was talking to the same legendary MD.

(I think CR was working closely with some important banners from south, like AVM, that could be another reason, he choosing to call himself C Ramchandra.)

When he used to sing a song, he used to use only his last name, Chitalakar.

Just some small snippets of information I thought of sharing

Thanks Mahesh once again

Cheers
Parag
