So My question is when did transition from
Urdu poetic songs to semi classical songs because
early on any song that is talking about hindu mythology
was written by another lyricist. Granted this song is
standard krishna theme without much complication in
terms of lyrical content.

Sahir ki dilchaspi humesha Hindi poetry me thi aur wo uske trends se achchi tarah wakeef the.
'Chitralekha' ke songs ko sunkar koi ye nahin kah sakta ki ye geet Urdu ke kisi shayar ne likhe hain.
Sahir ki aakhiri film lakshmi ke geet 'Seeta Bhi Jahan Sukh Paa Na Saki' ko jab maine pahli baar suna to laga ki ise Indivar ne likha hoga(us waqt mere paas sirf lakshmi ki VCD thi). Baad me record par dekha to paya ki ise Sahir ne likha hai.
Shuru me ho sakta hai ki MD ye sochte hon ki Sahir chuki urdu ke shayar hain to wo is tarah ke geet nahin likh sakte.Unke dimaag me bhi wahi rog raha hoga jiske hisaab se log ab bhi Hindi ko Hindu aur urdu ko Musalman se jod kar dekhte hain.
Aur classical music to Sahir ki apni virasat thi jo Amir Khusro se un tak pahoonchi thi.
