Deewani, guess what?? I read it somewhere or heard, cant remember now but Amit Kumar himself hated to do this album... He NEVER like do sing his fathers cover versions... Surprising right?? His voice resembles to KK the most than any other singer but he is not interested in doing so... AND HE DOES NOT EVEN SING MUCH... ALWAYS COMPLAIN ABOUT THE DIRTY POLITICS... DONNO WHAT HE WANTS TO DO...

I don't know about his situation and that album. But I do know that everytime I have seen him in concert that's what he does, and he does it very well. It maybe that he did not want to commercially release such an album, but I can't believe that he does not enjoy singing his father's cover versions, anyone who has gone to a concert can tell how much he enjoys it. One of the concerts I went to few years back - he went on well past 2 am at night because we were such a good, small, intimate audience and he was having too much fun. In fact he was frowning at requests for songs from 80s hits like Love Story/Romance, etc, preferring to do golden oldies.
