Cheeni Kum - 6.5/10
Only good for the comedy moments. AB is matchless, his egotistical moments too good. Paresh Rawal was superb as the girl's father. A flawed Gandhian, he played his part to the T. The conversation relating to the cricket matches was very good. Tabu was poised, as always. IMO the little girl was wasted (The only sore point in the film). She was made to mouth inane dialogues, absolutely inappropriate for her age). The plot was also far-fetched, considering Indian sensibilities. I'd say its a one-time watch (only for the one-liners). |
