I am interested in qawwali ' Aahein na bhari shikwe na keeaye kuchh bhi na zubaan sey kaam leeya' from 'Zeenat' a film from the 1940's.Among its singers it had Nur Jehan and Zohra Bai Ambalewali.I am sure it has been uploaded previously and I have it on an audio tape. Just would like to have it in the digital format.Harjinder

considered to be the first qawwali sung by women in films -anyone confirm this?

Thanks for uploading this qawwali.While I do not have any documentary proof, I also have often heard and read that this was the first qawwali in films by female singers.A memorable one for us, to remember these great singers of yesteryears.Harjinder
