Thank you friends for your appreciation, nice to read replies that you have enjoyed them. These were the only 5 on the cassette, if there are more can any brother or sister please u/l the remaining. many thanx.

Rajesh Roshan is a very experienced and highly respected music director, he has a good history of skillfully rendered albums since the mid 70's to present day. From my experience he was possibly a little overshadowed by the big 3 of the 70's-early 80's KA-LP-RDB. But in no way did he feel less superior than them. The music speaks for itself. Amazing man.

I fully agree, in my opinion he was also a trend-setter in his own way. The type of music he created when he arrived on the scene was different and unheard of at that time, very refreshing, with the RR stamp. You could say it was the RR "storm arrival". He evolved a style of his own and created beautiful music, yet when many mention MD's of that time, RR is indeed overshadowed.

Thanks a lot for this great album ! smile.gif

Would you happen to have other RR albums on tape ?

Thank you for your reply brother, i 100% agree with your comment. Rajesh Roshan music i enjoyed very much, It just shows sometimes quality of albums can be better than quantity of albums. Other MD's who i thought did really well in the 70's early 80's were Sonik Omi & Bappi Lahiri. Not taking anything away from the big boys of the 70's KA-LP-RDB who were and possibly still are the biggest of that era.
BTW thank you so so much on all your posts that i been reading, especially your write up on possibly one of bollywoods biggest MD's Shankar Jaikishan. Keep posting bro your articles are worth reading 100 times over.

Bro, you are too kind, Thanks a lot for your great words, I don't deserve them though. I am glad you enjoyed those write-ups smile.gif

You should write more, I really enjoy reading your fantastic posts, keep it up smile1.gif. There aren't many who write about RR, and I am happy that you did and that you admire him as much as I do.

I have seen many posts where people compare RR's music to Pancham. I think their styles were different, Bappi Lahiri in my view would be more similar to Pancham's brand of music.

Have you noticed the way RR used to handle his orchestra, his violin section was amazing, up there with the best of them, he had a great sense of percussion as well, and his use of instruments in his interlude music was top class. I adore his arrangements, they were never repetitive, always something new and fresh.

You are absolutely right, even though RR may have had fewer films compared to the Big 3 in the 70's/80's, quality is more important, and the quality of RR albums speaks for itself.
