Is this Lata's greatest soundtrack ?, The amazing melodies from "Gajre" Options

Dear friends,

This is my first contribution to this forum. I have a large collection of music - but sadly, not digitized. I have just started on getting them digitized.

The first songs I decided t get ready were from film "Gajre" - this was released in 1948 when I was just beginning to comprehend music. Music was from Anil Biswas, my greatest composer of all time. Each Lata song from "Gajre" is a treasure gem. I consider "Gajre" as Lata's best soundtrack though I realize that there are many other Anil Biswas masterpieces, C.Ramchandra's musicals, Shankar Jaikishanetc to consider.

Lata demonstrated her brilliance in such a very early stage of her career.

The first song I present is my favorite "Baras baras badli bhi bikhar gayi, kab aaoge".

Shriramji, thanks for the upload. This is an excellent rare Lataji number. If possible would please upload other numbers of Gajre sung by Lataji here in this Thread.

I am sorry for the prolonged absence - my bad health interfered to cause me to not retain my promise of uploading other "Gajre" songs.

I am uploading herewith another wonderful song from the same film - "Ghar yahaan basaane aaye the". Pl pardon me if the quality of the song is not good. I am still learning the sound editing work.
