' Pal pal kat-tee jjaye sans ki nazuk dori' Isn't it true of our lives too! Sahir had an unbelievably romantic way with words. Expression of his longings with a reminder of life span being 'phani' makes it a'lassani' poetic accomplishment.I have listened to this song so many times but every time I hear it again it wakes up some strong associations and feelings and I often end up listening to it again and again.Thanks for this precious song.Harjinder
P.S 'Basti basti parbat parbat gaata jaaye vanjara' from Railway Platform had these lines.'Ham jaisson key bhag mein likha chahat ka vardaan naheen.Jisne ham ko paida keeya hai pathhar hai Bhagwan naheen' which sort of expresses 'lachari' in a similar context.I only wish I had command of words like Sahir did.H.S.Dh.
