For the first time this thread is encountering 13th October. And in commemoration of the life and contributions of Kishore-da, here is a familiar classic.
Kishore Kumar was merely a guest artiste in Bimal Roy's "Pariwar" (1956). In the movie, he appeared only in one small segment and left an everlasting impression --- a sequence that remains a classic forever. In a stage performance scene he appeared in multiple personalities, a young man, an old man, a sanyasi, a ruffian, a woman, etc. In humble tribute to a great artiste and personality, here is the song. I wish I had the skills to offer the video version. In respectful and gratetful memory: (8.40 minutes) If you stop trying to make sense of it all, you'll be less confused. Reality is an illusion.
