Noor Jehan – Marsiya Meer Anis, Jab Karbala Mein Daakhla e Shah e Diin Huwa Options

Hi, friends, I have just got an audio-tape of the Marsiya Meer Anis, from one of my Shia friends. It is the only Marsia sung by Madam Noor Jehan. It is very hard to find this album on music shops. I seem to recall someone posted it a long long time ago in rm format (and Priya re-posted it for me at yahoo SKS), The sound quality was horrid. I thought this rare Marsiya deserve another outing. . As It is the month of Moharram, it would be in the nick of time if I share it with u all.

I do not have any information about this Marsiya except it is penned by one of greatest classical elegiac poet Meer Babbar Ali Ais. (This Marsiya was a part of my syllabus in MA Urdu Literature ), If any of you guys shed some more light on this recording, I will be very grateful.

As it is a long recording, I split the files into 4 parts to easy upload and download.

Ya, Priya, this is the full recording into 4 parts. I digitized it from audio tape. Quality is not very goog but much better than the files u have.
