Hi friends,
In forty years of bollywood career, Guru has virtually sung with every singer who appeared on the scene during that period....104 male singers and 83 female singers to be precise (this includes songs with multiple singers on a song as well as non-singers lending their voice for some dialogues within the song...like Shtarughan Sinha having some dialogues in Jwalamukhi song Paan Bidi Cigarette Tambakoo Na Sharaab, Humko To Nasha Hai Mohabbat Ka Janab).... Various database on these Jodies created along the way of discussions on this thread has been indexed as under: INDEX OF DATABASE CREATED ALONG THE WAY Description_____________________________________________Post No. 1. List of Duets with Rafi-------------------------------------------------------019 2. List of Duets with Pankaj Udhas--------------------------------------------009 3. List of Duets with Danny Dengzopa----------------------------------------013 4. List of Male co-singers of Guru---------------------------------------------022 5. List of Female co-singers of Guru------------------------------------------023 6. List of Duets with Bhupendra-----------------------------------------------034 7. List of Duets with Manna Dey----------------------------------------------035 8. List of Duets with Shamshad Begam--------------------------------------036 9. List of Duets with Geeta Dutt----------------------------------------------044 10. List of Duets with Mahendra Kapoor--------------------------------------058 11. List of Duets with Mukesh------------------------------------------------073 12. List of Songs by Guru picturised on Vijay Arora--------------------------126 13. List of Songs by Guru composed by OP Nayyar--------------------------137 14. List of Songs by Guru and Amit Kumar-----------------------------------145 15. List of Songs by Guru under RD Burman's music-------------------------177 Here, i intend putting up some of the chosen few songs with these singers (to the extent that i have the songs)...of course some of them might be the ones which i got from this very forum courtesy our fellow-members.... i start with Bhupendra, who, while, is not as versatile as Guru, but i do like the heaviness and depth of his voice... (i) Achchhi Achchhi Pyari Pyari Film: Trimurty 1974 Singers: KK, Bhupinder, Nitin Mukesh Duration: 03:26@128 (ii) Duki Pe Duki Ho Film: Satte Pe Satta 1981 Singers: KK, Asha, Bhupinder, RD Duration: 04:06@128 (iii) He Mujhe Dil De Film: Mr. Romeo 1973 Singers: KK, Asha, Bhupinder, RD Duration: 05:54@128 Incidentally MD for all these is RD....he definitely liked Bhupinder a lot....may be because Guru's default pitch and Bhupinder's pitch were very close...as were Manna Dey's and Yesudas's....but then Guru was Guru...he could mould his voice, its pitch and throw depending upon the situation in the movie and the mannerism the actor...many are greats but then only a few are genious.. eskayes eskayes

Eskayes (ji ![]() I found you have missed a few ![]() ![]() Mamta - 1952 - Ho Bhor Bhayi - Mukesh Malkin - 1953 - Koyi Khush Naseeb - Mukesh Satyakam - 1969 - Zindagi Kya Hai - Mahendra-Mukesh Humjoli - 1970 - Ye Kaisa Aaya Zamana - Mukesh-Mehmood Kal Aaj Aur Kal - 1971 - Tick Tick Tick Tick Chalti Jaye Ghadi - Mukesh-Asha Mere Apne - 1971 - Haal Chaal Thik Thak Hai - Mukesh Dharam Karam - 1975 - Na Ho Bas Mein - Mukesh-Sushma Dharam Karam - 1975 - Tere Humsafar Geet Hai Tere - Mukesh-Asha Kabeela - 1976 - Are Fek De Jaam Ko Haanthon - Mukesh Kabeela - 1976 - Arre Phek De Jaam - Mukesh Amar Akbar Anthony - 1977 - Humko Tumse Ho Gaya Hai - Mukesh-Mohd Rafi-Lata Kranti - 1980 - Tum Tum Tarara - Mohd Rafi-Nitin Mukesh-Lata Neeyat - 1980 - Hum Teeno Ki Woh Yaari 1 - Rafi/Nitin Mukesh Neeyat - 1980 - Hum Teenon Ki Woh Yaari - Mohd Rafi-Nitin Mukesh Chor Mandali - UNRLSD-1981-00 - He Ho Dekho..Jaaneman Jaanejaan - Dilraj/Mukesh Nimii, there are essentially two differences in the list i had put up and one you put up...I have marked them in green....of the other four marked in maroon, "Kabeela" has appeared twice in the list and "Kranti" and "Neeyat" songs are with Nitin Mukesh.... Now, "Malkin" one is quite an interesting one....i had deliberately left it out because both VN and KD have classified this one as KK-Ram Kamlani duet, even though the music records give credit to Mukesh....as for "Mamta" one, i am not aware at all...but again there are no songs of Guru listed in "Mamta 1952"... One interesting inclusion in my list is Parda Hai Parda, Parde Ke Peechhe, Parda Nasheen Hai from "Amar Akbar Anthony"...though it is essentially a Rafi qawwali, voices of Guru and Mukesh both, are supposed to be there as well.....i remember Amiitabh gets up from the audience and sings a line in Kishore's voice, but dont remember Mukesh's voice at all.....Can someone confirm it please??? Infact, you have not included it in your list...so may be the information regarding Mukesh's voice is wrong.... eskayes
