I think this was a film that starred Rati Agnihotri, Sanjay Dutt and if I
recall, it also had Om Prakash and Tanuja(not sure). We (my parents
and myself) had gone to Mahabaleshwar for a couple of days and the
cottage that we were staying in was abruptly taken over for the shooting
of a scene from this film. It was a song (by Lata) where Rati was
dressed in bridal finery. It seemed like a dream sequence. That one
scene took FOREVER and we had to wait patiently till they were done.
At one point, the director wanted Sanjay Dutt to kiss Rati and she got
up in a huff and walked off. Don't recall what happened next or if they
just packed up (cause it was midnight by then).
I think they said that the film name was "Johnny". So I am guessing I
have the right film.
