I have always wanted to have a compilation of all the great lyrics and the meanings of the sticking words. Since we are having discussions on these here, I thought I would compile different poems we have looked at in this thread and put the meanings of difficult words. Then people can try to figure out the meaning for themselves or discuss the songs here or in a separate thread. We can do the same thing for all the lyricists that interest us. I invite all the urdu/hindi/sanskrit pundits to help us in understanding the beutiful lyrics

Ab Muscat se ek Aam Insaan ki bayaani suniye. Sirf koshish hai. Galatiyan ho sakti hain. Is liye pehle hi se maafi ke talabgaar hain.

"Taabir" Yaani Description or interpretation of dreams, yun samajhiye ki Khwabon ki Haqeeqat. Sahir Saab farma rahey hain ki woh haseena, jiska woh tassavur kar rahey hain, woh unke khwabon ki haqeeqat thi.

"Raat Ki Raat" yaani the night of all nights. sabse behtareen raat, Sahir Saab ka yeh kehne ka andaz hai ki jis raat ka woh zikr kar rahey hain woh sab raaton se behtareen thi.

Jahan tak teesre jumle ki baat hai, asal mein sahi jumla is tarah se hai.

"Meri Taqdir Se Nikli Wohi Sadmaat Ki Raat"

Sahir Saab haseena se kuchh yun zikr karwa rahey hain ki jis raat dil ne dhadkna seekha aur shokh jazbaat ne seene mein bhadakna seekha, badqismati se woh raat merey liye "Sadmaat" yaani "Sadmon" yaani "Ghamon" ki raat nikli.

Ummeed hai ki aap ki mushqilen kuchh had tak aasan ho gayi hongi.
