Singing Career Of Shahid Rafi, son of Mohd Rafi Options

Shahid Rafi son of Mohd Rafi sang a handful of songs in mid 80's era but unfortunatly was not able to make an impact in hindi film music.............maybe too much was expected from him too early.....or possibly he decided it was not for him............Does any one know how many he sang and for which films

I only know of 3 songs......2 nice duets....one with Asha Bhonsle & other with Chandrani Mukherji.....one solo

can any one add any further to the list

Although his voice is different to Rafi.....there are parts when he tries to sound like Rafi........maybe a couple of years more of experience he might have got a recognition.........competing in a decade where there were many Rafi clones was always going to be difficult.

It is not neccessary that the son fits in the Pootprints of the Father, Rafi had more sons maiby there will be 1 who will suprise us some day.
There are more cases where you can see this.
Even Nitin can not get in the area of the magnivisant masterclass of father MUKESH saheb.
and there are more like Mahendra - Rohan.
even Asha Bhosle and Varsha are not to compare.
The most these area are the Father son Combinations of,
Guru and Amit.
Talat saheb and Khalid
While style and Public's choices changed we can not compaire the sons from these area's with
the The Golden Area's.
Only have to accept that THERE WIL NOT BE A:

MUKESH
TALAT
RAFI
KISHORE
K.L.SAIGAL

We only can carish and take good care for the tresure these GREAT LEGANDS and Personalities gave us
and mostly we as ardent music collectors and listners know the value of these pricesless tresures.
Ek kahawat hai (Gadha kya jaane safran ki keemat, woh to ghaas hi samjhega).
A Dumbo can never know what the value is of these things only the persons who cares about these
things.

We also can not compaire the so called "Singers" of these days with the Golden area
The contribution from that area to the Industry were like Pilars and the Backbone where the whole industry lays on now.
The contributional value of nowerdays music to this is conparitivly NILL mostly there are sons of famouse and great fathers who got there chance by there fathers contacts and good name.
