In keeping with the purpose of this forum as a tribute to the Legends of Hindi Film Music, this thread is devoted to nostalgic songs of Asha-ji.
My contribution to this thread is in the form of better sound-quality tracks of those melodious old songs with which 'Kachha Dhaaga' started in the Asha Bhosle forum. All tracks are at 128 kbps, sound-edited and set to the 'default' volume level of Musicmatch. The song tags commence with the year of the movie, so that we can file the tracks in chronological order. Members are requested to participate in this thread and upload their own contributions. Starting with this Sahir Ludhianvi classic: If you stop trying to make sense of it all, you'll be less confused. Reality is an illusion.

Let' start at the very beginning
A very good place to start When U read U begin with ABC When U sing U begin with Ashaji, Ashaji The first three notes just happen to be AB, see?  Let us take our memory to 1949, the year when Ashaji started her HFM career in full sway with several solos for many important MDs, the year she first sang for Khayyamsaab, the year I believe our benign contributor was born!!!  One of the few early numbers (solo # 5 in fact) of Ashaji available in good quality, sung in the older slightly heavy style. Song length: 2:50  |
