Dear Friends,
Janaaab Mohammed Zahoor Hashmi ‘ Khaiyyam’ Sahab, born in Jallandhar (Village – Rahon) in Punjab. He studied music under guidance of Pt.Amarnathji & Pandit Husnlal Bhagatram Sahab. KhaiyyamSahab spent most of his time composing music for private Ghazal albums. Most of the C.H.Atma Ghazals were put to music by the genius. The film Lala Rookh was his first film as a music director & of course the first hit Asha-Talat duet ‘Pyaas kuch aur bhi bhadka di jhalak dikhlaa Ke,’ Who can forget melody of films – ‘Phir Subah Hogi’ specially ‘Chin-O-Arab Hamara’ , ‘Who Subha Kabhi To Aayegi’ Shola Aur Shabnam- ‘Jeet Hee Lenge Baazi Hum Tum’ etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc ………. During a recent interview, he mentioned about his haunting tune in the film 'Razia Sultan'.. Aye Dil-E-Nadaan Arzoo Kya Hai? Zus-t-Zu Kya Hai? Friends, let’s enjoy this tune.. I was just wondering, is the Kishore Kumar song "Pichhli yaad bhulado" composed by Khaiyyam sahab?
