I have the feeling that Rajendra Krishan, an icon among lyricists, if perhaps the most underrated, People discuss Sahir , Shailendra, even Gulzar and Javed, but not this guy whose work spans mpre than 3 decades.

This man was good......Rajinder Krsihan died in 1988. When was he born? He wrote also great songs in:
*Ganwaar *Tumse acha kaun hai *Dharti *Inteqaam *Khandaan *Pyaar ka sapna *Professor Pyarelal *Allah Rakha *Aag ka darya (relased after his dead) Attached image(s)

Suffice it to say that without the services of Raja Mehdi Ali Khan and Rajendra Krishan, there would not have been a Madan Mohan.. Rajendra Krishan was more than a lyricist. He was also a script and dialogue writer par excellance.
Definitely the best after Shailendra (discounting Sahir) |
