hello friends,
here are some songs from s d burman's debut film shikari.this was the first hindi film for which burmanda composed music .the film was produced by filmistan and was directed by savak vacha.the film starred ashok kumar,veera,paro,ram shukla,s l puri.leela mishra,kishore kumar[?] etc.
the lyrics were by gopal singh nepali and pradeep.
the songs in the film were-
1]-har din hai naya,har raat nirali hai-amirbai,ashok kumar;
2]-duniya ne humein do din-amirbai;
3]-jagmag hai aasmaan,dol rahi hai naiya-ashok kumar;
4]-jag mag hai aasman-ashok kumar,paro;
5]-aaj poonam ka chand khila hai-?;
6]-rangeela re,jawani mein sata ke kahan kahan gaya re-paro,chorus[kishore kumar?];
7]-chupo chupo o marne se darnewalon-paro;
8]-kuch rang badal rahi hai meri unki baatcheet-shamshad;
9]-jab ghar mein aag lagi,sabhi vanshi bajaye-[in two parts]-paro;
10]-tere bina sooni sooni hai phulwari.

8 and 10 are in the voice of Paro. To me these are the best
songs of Shikari.
