Kishore-da is one of the HFM artistes who has sung in Malayalam, the others being Manna Dey, Lata Mangeshkar, Talat Mahmood and Asha Bhosle. Reportedly, Rafi-sahab was scheduled to record a song in Malayalam, but with his sudden demise it remained unfulfilled.
For die-hard fans of Kishore-da, here is a bit of history. U/L: "Chaytten kaydee" (Kishore Kumar sings in Malayalam) When you listen to the song, it will be obvious that it is a scene with children, and the words/lines are simple, as required when one communicates with kids. "Chaytten" = Elder brother "Kaydee" = Rogue (originates from "k.d.", i.e. "known delinquent") "Aniyan" = Younger brother "Paydee" = Fear/Fearful If you stop trying to make sense of it all, you'll be less confused. Reality is an illusion.
