Good thread you have started . ![]() ![]() The songs list highlights how Kishore was an integral part of LP scores. If you turn the table around and listed RDB-Rafi scores it wouldn't be as long. No no doubt that RDB-Kishore combo is the best but IMHO LP-Kishore are no less. Kishore was very fond of LP, in his own funny way he used to refer to them as Laxmicanto Pieyarelo (like in an italian sounding way). Pyarelal told me he liked Laxmi a lot, when he used to come to recordings he would hug Laxmi and then they would eat paan and chat for a 2-3 hours, only thereafter they would start to rehearse and rec the song. He wasn't the same with Pyare though, a little reserved with him. QUOTE Song : Mujhse Poochhe Mere Geet - Dil Aur Deewaar I am cursing myself...this cassette is lying with me for 2 years and I find one song in it, which I had not heard it, ever, in my life !!! I am completely bowled over by this LP-Guru combination. One of the best songs of guru ..no doubt..this genre of songs are quite rare from guru KCP - I agree with you, Mujhse se pooche mere meet is one of the best LP-Kishore songs, I was even telling my friend this few weeks ago. I have u/l the song earlier in this forum. Anonther song of this trio that I have been listening to continously is the breezy O meri jaan by God from Zinda Dil. Kishore is in top form no doubt, its a kind of song that even if released today would be a hit. QUOTE Hathiyar 1989 Sone Ka Chabutra Kishore Kumar There is no Kishore song in JP Dutta's Hathyar, there were only 3 songs on the audio, unless this is an unreleased song. QUOTE Dear Friends, This link is interesting. Found it in Yahoogroups BBM: http://www.screenindia.com/oct22/music2.htm Written by a non-biased music critic. (Not any self-promoted music-Guru, the likes of whom pop up occasionally in this forum) Final comment, Dr Rajiv Vijayakar is very pro LP, he is a childhood fan of LP. Read any article of his and he always finds the space for two letters L & P. Sometimes I find his articles slightly biased and in favour of LP. Regs Saj |
