Lata-ji: "Abhi tho main jawaan hoon" (Film: AFSANA), music by Husnlal Bhagatram.
For old-timers, this song has a special appeal. It used to be the prelude to one of the programs of Radio Ceylon. But the line "Abhi tho main jawaan hoon" is, in my opinion, the copyright of Mallika Pukhraj! If you stop trying to make sense of it all, you'll be less confused. Reality is an illusion.

When I saw this request , could not resist mentioning Hanste Zakhm which was released in 1973 made by Chetan Anand was one of the example of excellent masterpeice in terms of musical offerings. This is where one cannot miss the super duper pair of madan mohan and lata ji which has given two very great songs , I would rate them 100/ 10 yes 100 out of 10 , how bawra of me naa... but Aaj socha tau aanso bhar aaye and Betab Dil ki tammana yahi hai... Yaaron aur jaab is jodi ko char chand laga dene wale aur koi nahi balki the great Kaifi Azmi sahab ke lyrics ho tau aur bhi maja aa jata hai...
And some of the other great songs from same movie :- Tum jo mil gaye ho to ye lagta hai ki jaha mil gaye... Galli galli me kiya re badnam, mohe bairi ne, mohe zakhmi ne Hai touba touba ye jawani, ye jawani ka garur.... ye mana me Betab dil ke tamnna yahi hai, tumhe chhenge, tumhe pujege... Aaj socha to aasu bhar aaye, muddte ho gaye muskuriye... Now our big gang of Lata and Asha 's fan could throw some light here , when Madan and Lata ji where so close as brother and siter and madam or lata would always refer each other for the combination , how did Madan ji end up taking Asha for galli galli me kiya re badnaam....
