I second the opinions expressed here .... By all means do upload the files in the Bollywood section, and you could maybe even post a link here saying that you have done so .... Interested members could download them from there ...

Shakeelji and Binodji ... interesting though to note that several members have downloaded the files .... so Tahirsaab, dont be disheartened.. there is definitely demand for these files...

On the same topic, I'd like to know the take of the moderators in this general regard .... Am sure there are members interested in listening to cover versions, while there are others who'd consider this as blasphemous ! So either way, we'd like to know which would be an appropriate forum for these files..

Pesonally though, I fail to understand why accomplished artists should resort to singing cover versions in the name of 'tributes'. Their tributes are always welcome at stage shows or TV shows, but to release 'cover version' cassettes for commercial purposes .... hmm ! ..... Many of today's singers must have started out singing songs of our legends (Rafi, Kishore, Mukesh, Lata, Asha, etc) .. and thats fine for budding artists. .... But when accomplished artists give commercial tributes, I feel they are belittling themselves with nothing better to do !

I'd be glad to hear opinions from those supporting cover versions ....
