hello friends,
i am uploading two versions of ''ek dharti hai ek hai gagan'' which occur at two different points in the film ''adhikar''picturised on two different actresses. hfgk lists the songs as asha and meena kapoor.'' the meena kapoor version was relesed in a compilation of meena kapoor about a decade back. while asha has sung not sung the song.one of the version seems to be by geeta dutt.can experts identify and confirm the singers. i feel song 1 is by geeta and song 2 is by meena kapoor. regards, mahesh |

In that sense, the word 'politics' is pertinent. Although Asha-ji was long associated with OPN, she was never identified solely with him. Reportedly, she was also close to Ravi. And of course, later with RDB. As for Lata-ji, she remained single and foot-loose and fancy-free! Due to the limited output of her songs, IMHO it does not justify a separate sub-forum for Meena Kapoor. While on the subject, here are some video clips (in Real Media) from "ANOKHA PYAR" featuring the voice of Meena Kapoor : If you stop trying to make sense of it all, you'll be less confused.
