Dharm Ji,
A million thanks for these rare gems. ![]() ![]() ![]() I would like to share some information about the film. To my knowledge, Noor Jehan was 15 when she acted in ‘Chowdhri’ (1941) as 2nd heroin. Music was composed by Master Ghulam Haider and lyricist was F D Sharaf. Film’s cast includes Ghulam Mohd, Roop Lekha, Ajmal, Pal Chand Barq, M Ismail and Durga Khote. Director was Niranjan Pal. Almost all the songs of ‘Chowdhri’ were super hit. According to my source, Noor Jehan had sung four songs in ‘Chowdhri’, includes: 1. Ik dunia naviin wasa lyye, aa agan lagan di laa lyye (duet with Ghulam Haider) 2. Dekho dekho ehdi kesi sohni chaal ae (duet with Ghulam Haider) 3. Bus bus ve dholna (duet with Ghulam Haider) 4. Sajna tere bina ji naiyon lagda (solo) I just heard ‘Kyun luk luk hassde o’ and ‘Kothe te aa maahiya’, and have no idea about the singer. Urzang Ji kithey O ![]() ![]() |
