Over a period of time, I will be posting a number of Amit Kumar’s rarely heard songs (in *.rm format). Do keep checking. I do hope these have not been uploaded before. The song library indicates only 4 references to Amit kumar.

(This is response to member Arjun’s post in a different topic) I convert all my mp3 files to real media (*.rm 28 kbps best music) through Jetaudio convertor available freely over the net because it saves uploading time appreciably. Although the file size is low, the sound quality is not compromised. These files can be easily reconverted to cd quality through Nero wave editor (not available freely) directly to mp3 format up to 320 khz or AudioGrabber 1.83 (converting to wav and than to mp3 through Lame encoder - upto 320 khz) which is a freeware.

Amit kumar’s first song - Main ik panchchi matwala re
This song was later edited out or not used in the film.
Unfortunately, I don’t remember for which film it was recorded.

walker bhai 1ce u r converting in2 28kbps it loses its quality.Then if u change in2 any format also the quality remains that only.My knowledge says that.

There is an other way round to convert rm to cd quality. I am working on it. I will get back to you in good time.

need 2 explore for some software which reduces the file size 2 almost say 1/10th but keeps the audio quality intact.i am nt sure if anything of this sort is availabl.where is baiju saab,pradeep,anurag...they can help i suppose.

The result of the experiment:
The sound quality is definitely lower but it is only discernible when you listen to it very keenly and when you know what you are looking for.

Incidentally the song is 60 second piece 'Dream Girl' by Amit Kumar

Which is this number is tarah aashiq ka?? I know of a number sung by KS with the same wordings featured on Sunny Deol from the movie Imithaan. Is it the same movie?
