Shahid Rafi son of Mohd Rafi sang a handful of songs in mid 80's era but unfortunatly was not able to make an impact in hindi film music.............maybe too much was expected from him too early.....or possibly he decided it was not for him............Does any one know how many he sang and for which films

I only know of 3 songs......2 nice duets....one with Asha Bhonsle & other with Chandrani Mukherji.....one solo

here is a list so far

Ban gaya main hero ban gaya - solo
Socha na tha - duet with Asha Bhonsle
Aye yeh janam din baar baar - duet with Chandrani Mukherji

can any one add any further to the list

Although his voice is different to Rafi.....there are parts when he tries to sound like Rafi........maybe a couple of years more of experience he might have got a recognition.........competing in a decade where there were many Rafi clones was always going to be difficult.

Any further info is most welcome

As much I know he sung one song in the Film "Salma" year "1985" but the audio track is may be not available as far as I searched.

is it the film socha nata shahid rafi was in it also i watched it on video a couple of years back about 89 i believe

Yes the cassette i have is Soacha naa tha 1986
