Can anyone point me to right direction , for this song "Chand Chupha aur taare doobe, raat ghazab ki aayi...husn chala hai ishq se milne.....’ by Mahendra Kapoor ji ... found ke its from Sohni Mahiwal , but when looked at couple of sohni mahiwal albums found all the male songs by Rafi ... is this a different shoni mahiwal ? I know a new one of Sunny doel and that is sure not the movie... lol....

So do we have a another sohni mahiwal movie ? If than which year this was released as I need this info pretty badly cry.gif cry.gif cry.gif

It is from the 1958 movie "SOHNI MAHIWAL" with music by Naushad. Details at:

Thanks Unni for the info... I was updating my ID3 tags and was wondering which year of sohni mahiwal this song was from.

An interesting fact about this song... when as kid growing up not knowing much about identifying the singer thing... always thought this was a great RAFI sahab song... maybe most of the artist use to sing like rafi sahab in those days ??? Well this adds more credit to Mahendra sahab for singing this song so lively...
