Thanks Venkat-ji and SS-ji for your comments, greatly appreciated .
SS-ji, I know the sisters was irrelevant to the topic, but I only brought it up as an example that Rafi was beyond all that. I don't think it degrades them in any way, because whatever they did is what they thought best at the time (which is why I brought it up), nothing more, nothing less. I consider the Nightingale the greatest (and most technical)female voice ever, beyond comparison, and the other Mangeshkar sister very versatile, both are legendary. I fully agree with both yours and Venkat-ji's comments. My apoloigies as well to Razia-ji for all the has happened recently on her thread. Prince Ali |

This is a very important thread for Rafi's later year songs.
Any volunteers to create a song list for this thread? Due to time constraints, I couldn't do it. Hari Ram |

Pls put in your comments. We must learn to be patient and argue constructively to validate our opinions. That is meant to be a joke, right? It's quite obvious you haven't been following any discussions on this forum for a very long time. This is the Rafi forum, and we know very well how such things are done, as a matter of fact you would be delighted to know that we're doing very well on our own, so the teaching aid is quite unnecessary - thank you very much. There might have been in the past "harsh conflicts" ( in your words ), we prefer to call it healthy differences of opinion or civil disagreements, but that never came in the way of us co-existing in harmony. You seem to have totally missed that. Let's see, how long have you been here anyway? You do the math, and things will become a little more clear. Here's a helpful tip that you'll thank me for, browse through at least a few of the 100 odd pages on a variety of topics on this forum and post your opinion on them first - have you done that? I don't think so. Well these controversies are never ending and certainly not serving my purpose. Some of you may reckon it as a retreat but I am changing the name of the thread. Pls contribute to this thread by posting songs. http://www.hamaraforums.com/index.php?s=&a...st&p=426607 You do recognise your own quote, don't you? The 'trouble-makers' on this forum are weeded out and 'muzzled', the admin announces a week's leave of absence, and without wasting another moment, here you're soliciting a 'discussion' that you were so vehemently averse to the other day - the timing cannot be all coincidental. Let's drop all pretensions, shall we? We know the motive / intention / object / purpose is to cause trouble in the admin's absence - i am sorry to disappoint you, but it isn't going to succeed. It would be best if you settle for the songs ( Wasn't that the "purpose" of this thread - check your quote above ) and leave the "discussions" out of it. Think it over. "I live for those who love me, For those who know me true; For the heaven so blue above me, And the good that I can do." |

I'll keep repeating the above post if this thread ever strays from the original title and "purpose" of its thread starter - "In Search Of Rafi Songs From 1977 To Onwards"
