agar dil hamara sheeshe ke badle patthar ka hota
patthar ka hota jo toot-ta na phoot-ta maanta na rooth-ta, na baar baar hansta na jaar jaar rota.... Self - belief is the most potent force.

Morning
Every morning the world is created. Under the orange sticks of the sun the heaped ashes of the night turn into leaves again and fasten themselves to the high branches --- and the ponds appear like black cloth on which are painted islands of summer lilies. If it is your nature to be happy you will swim away along the soft trails for hours, your imagination alighting everywhere. And if your spirit carries within it the thorn that is heavier than lead --- if it's all you can do to keep on trudging --- there is still somewhere deep within you a beast shouting that the earth is exactly what it wanted --- each pond with its blazing lilies is a prayer heard and answered lavishly, every morning, whether or not you have ever dared to be happy, whether or not you have ever dared to pray. - Mary Oliver Move on find your way through broken faith and shattered hope keep going take along unfulfilled dreams soaked in tears and a jar full of unkept promises Unchain that heart let it shatter and fall apart into a million pieces and gather them all up again rebuild the fortress from the stone on your heart Shake that solid ground blast all bonds and seals let the light shine through in vast deserted valley beyond embrace the life the morning reveals |

Joseph Heller 1923—
There was only one catch and that was Catch-22, which specified that a concern for one’s own safety in the face of dangers that were real and immediate was the process of a rational mind... ‘Catch-22’ (1961) Thomas Hood 1799-1845 What is a modern poet’s fate? To write his thoughts upon a slate; The critic spits on what is done, Gives it a wipe—and all is gone. Robert Greene c.1560-92 Ah! what is love! It is a pretty thing, As sweet unto a shepherd as a king, And sweeter too; For kings have cares that wait upon a crown, And cares can make the sweetest love to frown. Ah then, ah then, If country loves such sweet desires do gain, What lady would not love a shepherd swain? Dorothy Frances Gurney 1858-1932 The kiss of the sun for pardon, The song of the birds for mirth, One is nearer God’s Heart in a garden Than anywhere else on earth. John Gay 1685-1732 If with me you’d fondly stray. Over the hills and far away. "The moment we want to believe something, we suddenly see all the arguments for it, and become blind to the arguments against it."
"Reading made Don Quixote a gentleman, but believing what he read made him mad. " "You'll never have a quiet world till you knock the patriotism out of the human race. " George Bernard Shaw |

Wild nights! Wild nights! Were I with thee, Wild nights should be Our luxury! Futile the winds To a heart in port- Done with the compass, Done with the chart. Rowing in Eden! Ah! the sea! Might I but moor Tonight in thee! Emily Dickinson |

You kissed me! My head drooped low on your breast
With a feeling of shelter and infinite rest, While the holy emotions my tongue dared not speak, Flashed up as in flame, from my heart to my cheek; Your arms held me fast; oh! your arms were so bold -- Heart beat against heart in their passionate fold. Your glances seemed drawing my soul through mine eyes, As the sun draws the mist form the sea to the skies. Your lips clung to mine till I prayed in my bliss They might never unclasp from the rapturous kiss. Josephine Slocum Hunt |
