bengali means the ppl of bengal and bengla is the language.

could u plz change it as bengla?

Not from Bengal myself, but I believe the language is actually "Bangla".
An old Kishore song (Ragini, 1958) went so far as to say Main Baangali Chokra (two a's in the spelling deliberate). He even refers to Amre Bangladesh, long before the country's creation.
Maybe Bappa-da can educate us yet again.

The language is of course "BANGla" (rhyming with "tongue").
